Weather: Cloudy, But Still Mild Today

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The clouds have moved in, so you likely won't need the sunglasses today. Temps will still remain on the mild side.

A weak cold front sits off to the west, and the limited precipitation it is packing continues to fizzle, leaving the Delaware Valley with mainly cloudy skies for Wednesday.

Some of you might be lucky enough to catch a few quick glimpses of sun, but that's the best case scenario. On the thermometer side of things, it will be a pleasant day for early November.

We don't expect to break into the 70s as we saw yesterday; there will be too much cloud cover. But highs in the upper 60s this time of year? Certainly more than acceptable.

What this cold front lacks in moisture will be made up for by another system, which will swing down from Canada and provide the front with a shot of energy. Expect periods of rain Thursday, with a break possible around midday, lasting through early Friday morning before eventually tapering off.

Other than a brief leftover sprinkle, expect generally dry conditions on Friday and the return of some sunshine. It will be breezy and noticeably cooler, and those chilly temperatures will last into the weekend.
