Police: 9/11 Memorial Vandalized In West Windsor Township

WEST WINDSOR Twp., N.J., (CBS) -- Police are investigating after they say a 9/11 memorial was vandalized in West Windsor Township, Mercer County.

Police say red spray paint was used to deface portions of the memorial at the Ronald R. Rogers Arboretum located at Clarksville Road and Princeton Hightstown Road.

They say the vandalism happened sometime over the weekend.

According to police, Cyrillic script was spray painted in red onto the slate tile flooring inside of the gazebo, a wooden bench frame inside of the gazebo, a paved walkway near reflecting pools, the metal I-beam from the World Trade Center and five large stones in the area of the reflecting pools.
