Corbett Gets Campaign Help From Christie In Effort To Gain Votes

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is trying to help out Pennsylvania's embattled incumbent, Tom Corbett, as he seeks re-election. Christie is campaigning with Corbett today in the Philadelphia suburbs.
Helping out his colleagues is part of Christie's job as chairman of the Republican Governor's Association, but he has his work cut out for him in the case of Governor Corbett. While Corbett has narrowed Democratic challenger Tom Wolf's lead down to single digits, analyst Nate Silver gives him a one percent chance of defeating Wolf.
Turn-out is Corbett's best hope, so Governor Christie is joining him at Get Out the Vote events in Bucks, Montgomery and Delaware Counties in hopes that Republican voters will be more enthusiastic about voting on Tuesday.
Wolf, of course, is pursuing a similar strategy, enlisting President Obama to inspire Philadelphia's Democrats.
Low turnout in Philadelphia played a pivotal role in Corbett's victory in 2010.
