Flyers Sign D Carlo Colaiacovo
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Thursday night following a 4-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Flyers announced the signing of defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo.
The Flyers new defenseman is 6'1, 200-lb and comes at a time when the team needs help on defense due to a number of injuries. Colaiaovo has been an unrestricted free agent since the end of last season.
This will be his 12th season in the NHL. Colaiacovo spent last season with the Blues. Through 11 seasons, Colaiacovo spent time with the Blues, Red Wings and Maple Leafs. He has earned 144 points in 401 games played.
