Pa. Man Allegedly Confesses To Killing Live-in Girlfriend After She Threw TV Dinner In His Face

LATROBE, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man has been ordered to stand trial after a second preliminary hearing on charges that he fatally bludgeoned his live-in girlfriend.

A district judge in August dismissed the first complaint against 57-year-old Gregory Randall after saying Randall's bloody handprint at the crime scene didn't prove that he killed 52-year-old Angela Cavalero at their Laurel Mountain home in May.

Westmoreland County District Attorney John Peck refiled homicide charges after a county jail inmate also claims Randall confessed to bludgeoning Cavelero with a hammer and one-gallon wine bottle after she threw a TV dinner in his face. According to the inmate, Randall "bragged about how pretty the blood spatter looked all over the wall."

Randall says he doesn't remember the incident and says he's not the kind of person who would have killed Cavalero.
