Trial Ordered For Alleged Gunman in Carjack, Assault, and Crash That Killed 4

By Tony Hanson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Horror upon horror was detailed today in a Philadelphia courtroom as a 24-year-old man was ordered held for trial in a carjacking, sexual assault, and then a crash that killed a mother and three children.

The carjack victim testified she was sexually assaulted by both defendants, Cornelius Crawford and Jonathan Rosa.

She testified that Crawford, whom said he had a gun, was giving the orders and demanded she answer the question, "Do you want to live or do you want to die?"

But she also conceded that she did not intially tell police about the sexual assault.

"She is an innocent victim who is brutally assaulted, punched in the face multiple times, she is sexually assaulted by two individuals," noted prosecutor Brendan O'Malley afterward.  "This is not something she wanted to discuss, ever.  Ever.  If it was up to her, she would never have said a word about this because it was so traumatizing to her."

Attorneys for both defendants have indicated they would like to work out a plea deal for a sentence less than life in prison.

Rosa previously waived his right to a preliminiary hearing.
