LeSean McCoy Feels Good About Getting Back To Normal

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The stat line that LeSean McCoy put up against the Giants looked and felt a lot more like the McCoy Eagles fans have become accustomed to seeing. The performance was by far his best of the season and not surprisingly was the most complete game the Eagles have played as a whole.

LeSean McCoy joined 94WIP's Anthony Gargano and Ike Reese on Monday and he talked about how good it felt to get back on track.

"It felt good. It felt normal, just the small things that I haven't been doing lately," McCoy said. The Eagles running back added that one of the things he has missed was "hearing the first downs...'Shady McCoy for the first down!' and stuff like that. It was fun."

Hearing that was also a welcomed sound for the Eagles fans. There was a pure sense of energy going through the crowd when the Eagles faced the Giants and McCoy's resurgence had a lot to do with that.

McCoy credited his slump busting game to the scheme.

"The game plan, it starts with that," McCoy said. "Chip drawing up a great game plan and we executed it very well."

McCoy touched on how more runs with Nick Foles under center has helped him get into a rhythm. "I think [when Foles is] under center you can see so much like if a guy has leverage on a block or if a guy is getting beat. You kind of adjust to it."

McCoy also talked about the versatility that comes along with Foles being under center and how they can do a lot more with the play action to keep defenses off balance.

If the Eagles are going to continue putting together those type of complete performances on offense, they are going to need McCoy to continue to produce on the ground. The Eagles will now gear up to take on a strong rushing defense in the Arizona Cardinals.
