VP Biden's Son Discharged From Navy For Drug Use

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The youngest son of Vice President Joe Biden is apologizing after it was revealed he got kicked out of the Navy for doing drugs.

Hunter Biden tested positive for cocaine and the reason for discharge became public Thursday night.

A U.S. official says the Navy never contacted the Vice President's office about the incident.

Hunter Biden released the following statement:

"It was the honor of my life to serve in the U.S. Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge. I respect the Navy's decision. with the love and support of my family, I'm moving forward."
