Philly Soccer Show: Michael Lahoud, 'Kicking Ebola in the Butt'

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (CBS) -- The Ebola crisis in West Africa is one of the biggest news stories of the year, and a member of the Philadelphia Union is doing his part in the fight against the deadly disease.
Union midfielder Michael Lahoud is this week's guest on the KYW Philly Soccer Show.
The Sierra Leone-born Lahoud talks with KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch about traveling with the national team in Africa as the outbreak began.
He says that experience, and talking with friends and family in Sierra Leone, made him want to get involved, so he started an ice-bucket-style challenge called "Kick Ebola in the Butt."

Also this week, Greg and Eli begin their analysis of yet another playoffless seaason for the Philadelphia Union.
The team was eliminated from contention after losing at home last Saturday, 3-2, to Columbus. They were up 2-0 at one point, only to see their lead go up in flames late in the second half.
We also talk abut the coaching situation. Despite reports that Jim Curtin will be the next Union coach, the team has not removed the "interim" tag.
