Positively Philadelphia: 'Lights, Camera, Bloom!'

By Lauren Lipton

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's never too early to start thinking about the 2015 Flower Show, and tickets are already on sale.

"The Flower Show is going to be exploring the magic of the movies this year," says Drew Becher, president of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

The show's title this year is "Lights, Camera, Bloom!"

"Our big partner in this is going to be the Walt Disney Studios," says Becher.

"People say sometimes, 'Hey, I would like my garden to look like that garden in the movie.'  We have a new thing called 'Reel to Reel.' You'll see it at the Flower Show and we'll tell you how to do it at your home."

Let's continue with our sneak peek.

"The main entrance garden is just going to wow people," Becher says.  "We are taking our inspiration from those Art Deco movie palaces and all of the marquees and stuff like that, and it's going to be like you're walking in the 1920s and '30s into one of those amazing movie palaces."

And last year's Flower Show was named the best event in the entire world by the International Festival Events Association.

"We beat out the likes of the Rose Parade, the Indianapolis 500, the Kentucky Derby," Becher notes proudly.

An expanded butterfly garden and much more are planned for the 2015 Flower Show, scheduled for February 28th through March 8th at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
