Police Arrest Man For Alleged Two Year Span Of Sexual Assault

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Authorities in Bensalem have arrested a 20-year old man that they say confessed to sexually assaulting a young girl over a 2-year span, when he was just a child himself.

Bensalem Police say 20-year old Raymen Arango not only confessed to assaulting the victim from 2005 to 2007, but also wrote the now 15-year old girl a letter to apologize. Authorities say Arango admitted that he began the assaults when he was just 11, and the victim 6.

The victim met with a Bensalem detective who took over the case for a retiring officer in February, and that detective was able to quickly track down Arango, who was arraigned Friday on a felony sexual assault charge.

Currently free on bond, Arango will have a preliminary hearing on November 6th.
