Injury Report: Eagles Without Kendricks (Again) And Maybe Ryans At LB Against Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles will be without one starting linebacker Sunday night against the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field. They could be without two. Mychal Kendricks will miss his fourth straight game and DeMeco Ryans is officially listed as questionable for the Sunday night NFC East battle.
Kendricks has missed the last three games with a calf injury that has continued to keep the starter out of action. Kendricks was kept out of practices again this week. Ryans was limited at best in practices later this week and is likely to remain a game time decision for head coach Chip Kelly. Ryans is battling a groin injury, making his mobility a concern.
The Eagles will continue to move forward giving snaps normally reserved for Kendricks to Casey Matthews and Emmanuel Acho. If Ryans is unavailable, both players will likely be on the field to try to slow down the Giants offense. If Ryans is not on the field, the Eagles could be vulnerable in the middle of the field and Eli Manning and the Giants should attack it as often as possible.
Adding a little extra concern to the linebacker positions this week is Connor Barwin being banged up. Barwin is playing through a knee injury but he was able to participate in full practices this week and is listed as probable for this weekend’s game. Cornerback Brandon Boykin and Nolan Carroll II are each listed as probable for this weekend. Both were active in full practices this week despite working through hamstring injuries.
The Eagles will also be without Chris Polk (hamstring), who has been contributing on special teams. Without Polk, the Eagles will turn to Josh Huff on special teams returns. Huff did not escape the injury report though. Huff is listed as probable with a shoulder injury, although he was involved in full practices all week.
