Norman Horn is walking 3,300 miles, the distance from west coast to east coast. He started on April 5th out of San Francisco and has been on the road for about 185 days.

"I'm actually in Manayunk right now," Horn told Michael Barkann and Ike Reese on the 94WIP Mike & Ike Show. "I'm on way into the city [Philadelphia]. I'm just about at Kelly Drive and headed down the river trail."

So why the heck is Horn doing this?

"I am raising money for the Four Diamonds Fund out of the Hershey Medical Center," Horn said on Tuesday.

Horn, who raised over $43,000 towards the fight against pediatric cancer, lives in Phoenixville, PA and was born in Media, PA. The grand finale is on Saturday, October 12th in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

What was the hardest part of the journey?

"I've had some issues with people and animals, but really weather has been my biggest obstacle," Horn explained. "I've just been hampered by so many different kinds of storms---rail, hail, snow---in every different area of the country too. It's so unpredictable, so it was really hard for me to kind of adapt to where I was at."
