Man Dies After Shooting In South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Philadelphia Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened shortly after 9 a.m. in the 2100 block of Taney Terrace in South Philadelphia.

According to investigators, police received a 911 call about a shooting. When they arrived, they found a 20-year-old male in the street with a gunshot wound to his stomach.

He was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, but was later pronounced dead.

The male's identity wasn't immediately known.

The gunman remains on the loose.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
