Man Steals Cash Register During Robbery Of South Philly Holiday Inn

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for the suspect who robbed a hotel early Monday morning.
The robbery happened at about 3:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn in the 900 block of Packer Avenue in South Philadelphia near Citizens Bank Park.
According to investigators, a male walked into the hotel lobby and went behind the counter. He stole a cash register with an unknown amount of cash inside of it and ran out of the hotel.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 20s wearing dark clothing and a red bandana.
Investigators are looking at surveillance video to help catch the thief.
Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to contact police.
