Fire Alarm Awakens Eagles Ahead Of 49ers Showdown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Perhaps it was just a coincidence, or maybe it was a meticulously planned scheme. Either way, the Eagles had their sleep disturbed overnight at their hotel when a 2 a.m. fire alarm forced the players out of bed.

Chip Kelly is very big on making sure his players get their rest and the team even tracks the amount of sleep their players get.

Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho tweeted about the ordeal:

It really is rather devious when you consider the circumstances. The Eagles already were forced to travel cross country to take on the 49ers so their internal clocks may already be off a bit. Now on top of that, they have their sleep disturbed prior to the game.

Coincidence?
