Wine Lovers Dream In AC This Weekend

By Mike Dougherty

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) - Thousands will be on the Atlantic City boardwalk this weekend for the fall Wine Promenade.

Leslie Sbrocco -- who curated the event -- says the collection is vast:

"About 150 wines and a whole selection of bourbons. People can come and enjoy themselves along the boardwalk and sip and sample some great foods."

Sbrocco says she personally sampled and selecting all the wine offerings:

"That's the fun part, that everybody will get to do the same now. We've got the Villa Sandi prosecco from Italy. We've got all these beautiful champagnes, all sorts of hearty California reds and Italian reds and Spanish reds."

And there will be plenty of food as well.

The Wine Promenade runs from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Those who pay extra for VIP tickets can get a one-hour head-start along with some other perks -- like admission to wine academy.
