By Andrew Porter

Editor's note: Each week we will take a look at the top three candidates for King of Philly sports. The "Philly Sports King" can be anyone (player, manager, front office, media member, etc.) who is associated with Philadelphia sports.

No. 1 on the list gets three points, No. 2 on the list gets two points, and No. 3 on the list gets one point. You can track the running Sports King of Philly at CBSPhilly.com/kingofphilly.

Overall Standings

Chip Kelly - 5 points
Darren Sproles - 3 points
Nick Foles - 2 points
LeSean McCoy - 1 point
Howie Roseman - 1 point

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Two games in the books, two comeback victories for the Birds. In fact, the Eagles became the fourth team in the last 30 years to win consecutive games after trailing by 14 or more points in the second half, according to Elias Sports Bureau. While Chip Kelly still makes the list, the dynamic performance of a new Eagle brings us an unexpected "Philly Sports King."

The Eagles have Philadelphia all types of fired up, as they head into their week 3 matchup at home against DeSean Jackson and the Washington Redskins.

3. Howie Roseman

Roseman cracks this week's King Of Philly power rankings for a couple reasons. First, the pure excitement the city has surrounding the Birds after a 2-0 start. Second, for hiring Chip Kelly. And third, for acquiring Darren Sproles from the Saints for a fifth-round draft pick.

2. Chip Kelly

What can we even say? The guy is a genius.

Kelly is 12-6 in 18 NFL regular season games. His Eagles lead the NFL in yards per game (439), points per game (32), and total yards (878). And, the offense is still not clicking, the receivers have been below average, and the offensive line is missing three players including two starters.

On Monday night, the Eagles became the third team in NFL history to amass 400-plus yards of total offense 14 times during an 18-game span (others: New Orleans in 2011-12 and Denver in 2013-14).

1. Darren Sproles

If you top Chip Kelly as the King Of Philly sports after the Eagles' 2-0 start, you know you must have captivated the city. Darren Sproles, the NFC Offensive Player of the Week, did just that with his electrifying performance on Monday Night Football against the Colts.

Sproles racked up career highs in receiving yards (152 yards on seven receptions) and scrimmage yards (178), and scored his second touchdown of the season on Monday. He had a 57-yard catch (fourth-longest of his career) and a 51-yard catch, en route to his sixth 100-yard receiving game.

While the receivers were struggling, Sproles was the safety valve for Nick Foles and the Eagles couldn't have beaten the Colts without him. He is quickly becoming the Eagles' most dynamic play maker.

Think Drew Brees misses him a little?
