"Well it is sentimental but it's also I guess business. It's something where I did great in Atlantic City over the years, done tremendously well. I was there in the heyday of Atlantic City when it was phenomenal, when you couldn't keep the people out and now it's the exact opposite of that," said Trump.

He says he still has strong relationships with former employees and would like to see jobs restored at Plaza and preserved at Taj Mahal which could close by mid-November it's debt can't be settled through bankruptcy court.

Trump was critical about decisions that have been made over the years in Atlantic City.

"So many mistakes were made politically in Atlantic City with the Convention Center being built in the wrong location and with the airport not cleaning up the city. So many mistakes and that's why I got out," says Trump.

He was also critical of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority which is supposed to help the city prosper.

"They've helped kill the golden cow," said Trump.

He wouldn't say if there were any deals in the works but says he'll take a "real serious look" at the prices for the casinos and prospects of making money.
