2014 Eagles Radiothon Raises $290,700

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- SportsRadio 94WIP and The Philadelphia Eagles are excited to announce are excited to announce that the 2014 Eagles Radiothon raised more than $290,000, exceeding last year's total by more than $100,000 and setting a Radiothon record. All proceeds will benefit Eagles Youth Partnership (EYP) and its various programs that serve over 50,000 low income children in our community every year with a focus on health and education programming.

The three-day auction that ran from Tuesday, Sept. 2 to Thursday, Sept. 4 offered Eagles fans and 94WIP listeners the opportunity to bid on unique sports and entertainment experience prizes involving their favorite Eagles players and SportsRadio 94WIP radio personalities. Participating shows included Angelo Cataldi & The Morning Team (5:30 am – 10 am), Michael Barkann and Ike Reese (10 am – 1 pm), Anthony Gargano and Rob Ellis (1 pm – 6 pm), and Josh Innes (6 pm – 10 pm).

"We are amazed and so grateful for the amount of support and generosity our community has shown for the Eagles Radiothon as we surpassed last year's total by more than $100,000," said Sarah Martinez-Helfman, EYP Executive Director. "Eagles Youth Partnership would like to thank 94WIP hosts and staff, radio listeners, auction bidders and Eagles fans everywhere for so graciously offering their time, commitment and resources to a great cause. Underprivileged children in the Greater Philadelphia area will now receive the vital health and educational services needed, thanks to this community-wide effort. It's thrilling when sport becomes a force for good."

An all day SportsRadio 94WIP remote broadcast (morning, midday and afternoon shows): $25,000

Golf with Nick Foles at Merion: $20,000

Trip to Super Bowl XLIX in Phoenix, AZ on Feb. 1: $20,000

SportsRadio 94WIP Afternoon Show (Anthony Gargano and Rob Ellis) remote broadcast: 1 at $13,000, 1 at $12,000

SportsRadio 94WIP Angelo Cataldi & The Morning Team remote broadcast: 2 at $11,500 each

2013 team autographed play-calling picture placard (cheesesteak/Rocky picture placard): $12,000

 

Other popular Radiothon prizes included: watch film and have lunch with general manager Howie Roseman; meet and greet with Chip Kelly after filming of Eagles Game Plan; "Inside the Eagles" with president Don Smolenski and Roseman; Monday Night Football viewing party at Prime Stache with Brent Celek; deep sea fishing with Brandon Boykin; bowling with Jeremy Maclin; batting practice at Citizens Bank Park with Riley Cooper; XBOX Challenge and pizza party with Zach Ertz; cocktails with Mark Sanchez and Jason Kelce at Water Works Restaurant; Monday Night Football viewing party at Chickie's & Pete's with Malcolm Jenkins; dinner with Connor Barwin at Pizzeria Vetri; dinner at Amada with DeMeco Ryans; tour the Tastykake Factory with Darren Sproles; magic show school assembly with Jon Dorenbos and SWOOP; Flyers game in the ARAMARK Suite with Jason Kelce and Evan Mathis.
