Drexel Dorm Reportedly Evacuated After Freon Leak

By Justin Udo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A freon leak at Drexel University caused one of the school's dorms to be evacuated.

A university official says an air conditioner was responsible for the leak that took place early Wednesday morning at Millennium Hall on 223 North 34th Street.

As a precaution, anyone inside the dorm was evacuated; however, most Drexel students have not yet moved in, as classes don't start for a few weeks.

The situation was quickly placed under control and no injuries were reported.
