PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police from Philadelphia and Las Vegas are looking for a two-year-old boy believed to be with his father, who does not have legal custody.

Police say the boy may have been at a North Philadelphia home recently.

The toddler, Pele Watkins III, went missing June 30th in Las Vegas, Nev.

On Wednesday, Philadelphia’s Department of Human Services went to a home in the 2200 block of West Huntingdon Street, where the boy was believed to be with his father, 38-year-old Pele Watkins II.

When investigators arrived, however, the boy and his father were no longer there.

Police also have distributed a description of a vehicle used by the father.  It is a silver 2003 Mercedes SL500, with a Nevada vanity plate whichi reads “PEMP.”

Anyone with information on the father and son is urged to call Philadelphia central detectives at 215-686-3093.
