Study Shows Fan Sentiment Pointing To 7-9 Record For Eagles

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Prime Visibility, a digital marketing agency, ranked every NFL team on the basis of fan confidence. We see a lot of rankings and record predictions this time of year, but none quite like this.

The agency utilized social media platforms to find out just how supportive fans were of their teams. They also scoured online forums to get a buzz for the overall attitude that fans had about their team's chances.

Social media continues to be a growing aspect of our lives so why not use it to predict NFL standings.

Over 20 million social media mentions were used in the study to get a percentage ranking for how confident all 32 fan bases were in their team. According to the mentions, no team fell below a 50% confidence mark.

The Eagles overall fan confidence was 75.98%.

To put that number in the context, the Eagles were ranked 18th in the NFL in fan confidence. The highest number went to the Seattle Seahawks who came in at 87.53%. The team with the lowest confidence ranking was the Dallas Cowboys who only garnered 59.76%. Don't tell that to this Cowboys fan.

The Eagles number fell below the median percentage which was 77%. The agency used the percentages to put together mock standings based on fan confidence. The Eagles 75.98% confidence rating equates to a 7-9 record.
