PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - On today's APP-tastic and outta SITE - Breakdown Lane.

Having your car go on the fritz in an unknown city can be a scary thing. Breakdown Lane - from the guys at NPR's Car Talk - helps you find the nearest mechanic anywhere in the country. And, as an important added bonus, includes consumer ratings on that place, so you'll have an idea of how they do business.

All totaled, the app has listings for 30,000 garages around the US. It also has tips on how to take care of some tasks yourself.
