Some Storms To Finish The Weekend

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After temperatures below average the past few days, typical late July weather returns for the rest of the weekend. A warm front will move through the area on Sunday bringing some heat and increased humidity levels. High temperatures will return above average in the upper 80s, possibly 90 degrees if enough sunshine breaks out.

A few disturbances will move through the region Sunday and Monday bringing shower and storm chances. A few showers are possible early Sunday morning, then expect some sunshine later in the morning and afternoon. Some scattered showers and storms are possible later in the afternoon with better chance for organized showers and storms returning Sunday night into Monday morning. Any of these storms could be severe with damaging wind gusts, hail, and heavy rainfall.

A cold front will then move through the Delaware Valley on Monday keeping the chance for some showers and a thunderstorm. Behind the front, a cooler and drier air mass will return on Tuesday with high temperatures below average.
