PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Phillies bring a three-game losing streak into tonight’s match-up with the San Francisco Giants at Citizens Bank Park.

Two of the losses have come against San Francisco. Last night the Phillies lost 9-6 in 14 innings as Jonathan Papelbon blew a 5-4 lead in the 9th and then Jeff Manship got lit up for four runs in the 14th.

Darin Ruf, who re-joined the team on Tuesday, will start at first base for the struggling Ryan Howard.

The Phillies made more roster moves this afternoon. Catcher Carlos Ruiz was activated off the disabled list and  right-hander Phillippe Aumont was recalled from AAA Lehigh Valley. To make room on the roster, catcher Cameron Rupp was sent down to Lehigh Valley and Manship was designated for assignment. Ruiz will start at catcher tonight.

A.J. Burnett will get the start tonight for the Phillies. The veteran right-hander is 6-9 this season with a 4.08 ERA. Took a loss in his last start, allowing 6 runs in 5 innings against Atlanta. Burnett has good career numbers against San Francisco. In 9 starts, he is 6-3 with a 2.30 ERA.

The Giants counter on the mound with left-hander Madison Bumgarner, who is 11-7.
