More Of The Same For Tuesday

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Tuesday will be very similar to Monday, with strong thunderstorms popping up in the afternoon.

Conditions are relatively quiet this morning, as many residents clean up and survey damage caused by yesterday's severe thunderstorms. If you will be outdoors during the PM hours today, you will once again need to keep an eye to the sky, as we believe these storms are capable of producing more of the same.

Highs will top out in the upper 80s this afternoon, under mostly cloudy skies. The cold front responsible for these recent storms is currently off to our west and will slowly pass to the east by Wednesday morning. On Wednesday, expect clearing skies in N&W suburbs, a lingering morning shower in the Philadelphia area, and a good chance of scattered showers and a storm for most of the day on the Jersey shore.

Everyone gets into the sunshine on Thursday and Friday, with much more comfortable temperatures.
