The professional network has turned its Contacts App into a new Connected App.

Connected will help users reach out to people in their network when it matters most, so they can keep your network active.

Like in Contacts, users can sync their calendars with Connected. The updated app includes what LinkedIn refers to as anticipatory computing. Meaning, if you sync your calendar, Connected will prompt you to check out the profiles of those you're scheduled to meet with. It also sends reminders to follow-up with those people after your meeting.
