Police Investigate Attempted Child Luring In Absecon

ABSECON, N.J., (CBS) – Police are investigating an attempted child luring that was reported Monday night in Absecon, New Jersey.

Absecon Police say the incident happened at about 10 p.m. on Pitney Road just before Huron Avenue.

According to police, a 14-year-old female was walking over to a friend's house on Huron Avenue when a Hispanic male driving a medium size blue four-door vehicle reportedly pulled up next to her and told her to get in the vehicle.

Police say she refused to get in and he allegedly told her a second time and she refused again. Police say she then took off running to her friend's house and contacted the police.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid 30's. He had dark hair and a large nose. The vehicle is described as a newer model vehicle with possible New Jersey tags.

Police say the suspect fled north on Pitney Road towards Galloway Township.
