Man In Critical Condition After West Philly Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that left a man in critical condition early Tuesday morning.

According to investigators, at about 12:30 a.m., police were called to the 800 block of N. 46th Street in West Philadelphia for the report of a person shot.

When they arrived, they found an unidentified male with a gunshot wound to his upper left abdomen.

The male was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is listed in critical condition.

According to police, the male told them he was shot at 48th and Parrish Streets, but investigators say they found no evidence of a shooting at that location.

So far, no arrests have been made.

The shooting remains under investigation.
