By John McDevitt

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- With the US national team continuing to advance in World Cup soccer (even after being beaten today by Germany), US soccer fans are looking forward to the USA's next match, on Tuesday.

Today, hundreds of  soccer fans watched the match on the big outdoor screen at the Piazza at Schmidt's.

Many of the fans cheering on Team USA were wearing soccer jerseys.  Some were sporting red, white, and blue face paint, and others were draped in American flags.

"It's rare times that you're excited about a loss," admitted one fan after today's match, "but things worked out in our favor, and now we are ready to bring on Belgium."

"A lot of people were doubting, a lot of people were hating, but they're in!" shouted another man nearby.

Many hoped that Team USA's advancement in the World Cup tournament turns more Americans on to the sport.
