PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — In one of the all-time turn of events in NBA draft history, projected top-three overall selection Joel Embiid had surgery on his right-foot last Friday.
Bucks co-owner, Marc Lasry, spoke at the Rotary Club of Milwaukee on Monday morning, and he all but admitted the Bucks will not draft the injured center.
The Bucks have the second overall selection in Thursday’s draft, while the Cavaliers will pick first. The Sixers have the third and 10th overall picks in the draft.
ESPN insider Chad Ford tweeted on Monday that Australian player, Dante Exum, is a likely choice for the Sixers with the third pick.
