WEATHER BLOG: Another Pleasant Weekend

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The summer solstice officially arrived this morning at 6:51, which marks the Sun's farthest point north in the northern hemisphere.  This gives us our longest daylight of the year, just over 15 hours in Philadelphia.

Weather wise, it felt more like Spring with high temperatures in the upper 70s with low humidity and a few showers in some locations.

An area of high pressure will continue to move into the northeast allowing for the pleasant conditions to continue through the rest of the weekend.  Expect more sunshine for Sunday, which will allow for temperatures to return to average in the low to mid 80s.

Humidity levels remain low with the drier air mass remaining in place.  Warmer and more humid conditions will return from the work week.

Here is your Sunday forecast:

Poconos

Sunday - Partly to Mostly Sunny. High 75.

Shore

Sunday - Mostly Sunny. High 77.
Ocean Water Temp - 70.

Firefly Music Event (Dover):

Sunday - Mostly Sunny and nice. High 81
