A Brief Break Before Showers And Thunderstorms Return This Week

By Kathy Orr

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A weak front will settles south of our area Wednesday, allowing an east wind to influence our weather.

The onshore flow will help stabilize the air over us, and that means less rain, but plenty of clouds.

Highs will be in the mid-80s.

There will be a better chance of showers and storms Thursday as that boundary returns north as a warm front, and Friday, as a cold front moves across our area.

Highs Thursday and Friday will be in the low to mid 80s.

The warm, humid conditions will help fuel the showers and storms with some heavy downpours, and localized flooding.

The weekend is much more promising.

Saturday will be sunny, with highs in the lower 80s.

The weather looks perfect for dad on Sunday, with sunshine, the high, 84 degrees.
