Rain Clearing, Great Weekend Ahead!

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After some heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms rolled through early this morning, we are beginning to dry out, a sign of things to come!

Showers will taper off today June 5th, and the afternoon isn't looking bad right now with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the upper 70s. It won't be the best beach day, but once that sun returns. you can be sure that the UV Index will spike back up.

The forecast looks golden from tomorrow through Sunday, with lots of sunshine and temperatures increasing a few degrees from 80 each day. You couldn't ask for a better late spring weekend!

Tune in to CBS3 tomorrow morning for a special Belmont Stakes weather segment!
