PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – What a great way to finish off the month of May Saturday with high temperatures right near average in the mid to upper 70s.
If you are hoping for another day like that, you are in luck. The high pressure system that brought the sunshine, warm temperatures and low humidity will remain in place for Sunday. Once again, expect highs to be right near average on Sunday in the upper 70s with sunshine.
An easterly wind will continue off the Atlantic ocean on Sunday and with ocean water temperatures in the low 60s, air temperatures will be around 70 at the shore.
If you are looking for more of a summer-like forecast, just wait a few more days. Southerly winds will return for next week allowing for above average high temperatures in the 80s. Humidity levels will also increase next week helping to fuel some showers and thunderstorm chances around the middle of the week.
