WEATHER BLOG: Weekend Warming Up!

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The holiday weekend has started off with near average high temperatures on Saturday with some showers late in the day, as an upper-level disturbance remains situated over the Northeast.

The disturbance will continue to move out of the region for the second half of the weekend.  Expect more sunshine around on Sunday and Memorial Day with highs near 80 on Sunday and mid 80s on Monday.

Memorial Day Weekend Regional Forecast:

Philadelphia and Suburbs

Sunday - Mostly Sunny and Warmer. High 80.

Monday - Sunny and Very Warm. High 85.

Jersey Shore

Sunday - Mostly Sunny. High 73.

Monday - Mostly Sunny and Nice. High 76.

Delaware Beaches

Sunday - Mostly Sunny. High 74.

Monday - Mostly Sunny and Pleasant. High 77.

Poconos

Sunday - Sun & Clouds. A stray shower possible. High 74.

Monday - Sunny and Warm. High 79.
