A Half And Half Weekend

By Kathy Orr

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  In the wake of the severe weather, conditions will slowly improve as we begin the holiday weekend.

An upper air disturbance will bring the chance of showers and some thunderstorms to our area Friday afternoon, highs will be around 74 degrees.

There is still a shower chance Saturday as the system moves away, temperatures will be in the mid-70s.

After that, high pressure builds in from the Great Lakes, and Sunday and Memorial Day look great! Sunshine is expected both days, warming to 78 Sunday and 83 degrees, Monday.

If you are heading down the shore the weather will be cooler.

Friday, highs will rise around 70, Saturday will be partly sunny, near 70.

Expect more sun Sunday and Monday, with highs in the lower 70s.

The UV index will be very high Sunday and Monday, so pack the SPF 30.

I was in the ocean Thursday, and it was cold, only 63 degrees!

Have a great weekend!

Kathy
