Showers And Storms Return, Before The Holiday Weekend!

By Kathy Orr

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A warm front will move through the Delaware Valley Wednesday. There is a chance of some scattered morning showers, but showers and thunderstorms will peak in the afternoon and evening. Highs Thursday will be at or above average in the mid to upper 70s.

The threat of some showers will continue on Thursday as a cold front approaches late in the day.

Highs will remain in the mid to upper 70s.

Behind the front, a cooler air mass will build in Friday for the start of the holiday weekend.

There will be a chance of a lingering shower Friday with highs in the lower 70s.

Saturday will be partly sunny, 73 degrees.

The second half of the Memorial Day weekend will be warmer and dry with a high of 78 degrees Sunday and 81 degrees on Memorial Day.

Down the shore temperatures will be cooler.

Expect Saturday to be partly sunny the High, 71.

Skies will be Mostly Sunny both Sunday and Monday with highs around 72.

Don't let those numbers fool you. The sun will be strong and the UV index high, so pack the sunscreen.

Ocean water temperatures will be in the lower 60s.  Too cold for me!

Remember, never swim at an unguarded beach!
