PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Chris Stigall talked to Phillies Manager Ryne Sandberg about a successful weekend against the Reds and eating cat food in his youth.
Sandberg said he’s pleased with how the team has been hitting over the last couple games.
“The guys bounced back after a tough little stretch. Then the bats came alive with some very nice warm weather, which might’ve made a difference. We hit the ball out of the ball park, that was the other thing. We hit some homeruns. Hopefully those two things will continue. We do have some guys hitting for average but to now see the ball go out of the ball park, that’s a bonus and that’s needed.”
