Unsettled Week Ahead

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Mainly unsettled weather begins today and lasts through Friday.

Temperatures are very mild to begin Tuesday, already near 70. It won't be a terrible day, with clouds and some sun, just a slight chance of a passing shower.

Heading into Wednesday, a backdoor cold front moves south of the area, ushering in cooler temps from a Northeast wind as well as clouds and a few light showers as well.

Thursday will feature some sun and a risk of an isolated thunderstorm. Things warm back up a well as we will sit in a southwesterly flow, ahead of a cold front that is likely to bring heavy rain on Friday.

Behind that, cool but beautiful conditions will build in just in time for the weekend and into next week.

This Day in Weather History:

2002 – A F1 tornado touched down in Earleville, MD, traveling for several miles before dissipating.
