KYW's Jim Melwert reports rescue crews were called in to evacuate people from the Riverview Landing Apartments in West Norriton. Water was up to the windows of cars in the parking lot. Residents on lower floors were being taken away by boat.

As always, police want to remind drivers that it's never a good idea to drive through standing water. Any driver who is caught driving around a barricade will be ticketed and fined.

SEPTA is reporting several bus routes were operating with detours. Check SEPTA.org for the latest on your route.
