By Jim Donovan: In the past 30 days, the Better Business Bureau in New Jersey has received 834 inquiries on Nation Voice Communications LLC, a Brick, NJ company offering communications services to customers throughout North America. Consumers report to BBB that the services they’ve registered and paid for – in some instances, lifetime membership – have been interrupted without warning.
The BBB’s investigation of the business revealed that Nation Voice Communications’ website is still active, but any form of communicating with the company is unsuccessful, including online chat. The BBB has reached out to Nation Voice to determine the cause of the interruption of services, but the business has not responded.
Between April 18 and April 25, BBB received 24 complaints alleging that Nation Voice’s servers are down and no services are available. These complaints are currently pending as BBB is waiting for the business’s response. Complaints are from customers in AL, AR, AZ, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MS, MT, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OK, SD, TN, TX, UT, WA, WI, WV, and British Columbia, Northwest Territories and Ontario, Canada.
Nation Voice offers voice communications that allow users to communicate via Ventrilo client with users anywhere in the world using their PCs. BBB contacted the Ventrilo licensor, who confirmed that Nation Voice Communications LLC lost its Ventrilo license due to its failure to pay the license fee.
Nation Voice Communications displays the BBB accredited business seal and an A+ rating on its web site, http://www.nationvoice.com. The company is not a BBB accredited business and BBB policies prohibit such a reference. NationVoice currently has no rating with BBB, pending their response to consumer complaints and the misuse of BBB’s logo.
BBB opened its file on Nation Voice Communication LLC in 2006. Until March 2014, the company was responsive to complaints forwarded by BBB.
