Police: 21-Year-Old Man Shot Dead In Chester

CHESTER, Pa., (CBS) -- A 21-year-old man is dead following a shooting Monday night in Chester, Delaware County.

Police officers were dispatched at 8:51 p.m. to the 1400 block of Congress Street.

Upon arrival, Chester Police say officers found a 21-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the victim has been identified but his name is being withheld pending family notification.

Chester and County Detectives responded as well as their Crime Scene Units to assist in the investigation.

Police say this is the tenth Chester homicide of 2014; four of which have been in the month of April.
