WEATHER BLOG: Those May Flowers Will Be Huge

By Carol Erickson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- If all it takes is April rain to bring May flowers, then the weather over the next week will create monsters. We picked up half an inch of rain early on Saturday morning with more possible this afternoon from a cold front. No guarantee you or your lawn or doorstep will see any, but the chance is there right through early evening.

Oh, and don't forget the gusty winds that will be an accessory all weekend.

Sunday features sunshine, cooler temperatures into the lower 60's and a good day to get out and make peace with nature.

Monday isn't bad either, but on Tuesday and Wednesday the watering can gets turned upside down. Rain is likely both days, with temperatures remaining in the 50's. Sounds like the florists' refrigerator.
