Raining Cats And Dogs Pet Fest

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter presents the Raining Cats & Dogs Pet Fest this Saturday, April 26 from 11am to 4pm at the Burlington County Animal Shelter in the County Facilities Complex at 35 Academy Drive in Westhampton New Jersey.

The event will feature the popular Kiss-A-Bull kissing booth, plus pet portraits, giveaways, drawings, a play area for children, face painting, Frisbee dog shows, live music, vendors with a variety of food, pet-related merchandise, and more.

By the way, I'll be there too so stop by and say hi!

A low-cost microchip clinic will be chipping pets from 12:30-2:30 pm. Register at BurlingtonCountyPetAid.org. The cost is $11 for spayed/neutered pets and $20 for unaltered pets (cash only). You must bring a spay-neuter certificate to receive the discounted price.

The Penn/Pet Aid Canine Blood Mobile also will be on site until 1:30pm. Anyone interested in having their dogs become part of the blood donation program should visit BurlingtonCountyPetAid for eligibility requirements and to make an appointment.

The Raining Cats & Dogs Pet Fest also offers animal lovers a discount if they're looking to add another fuzzy face to their families. Adoption fees are only $40 for puppies and dogs and $20 for cats and kittens for applications submitted April 25 to May 4, 2014 – a savings of up to $60.
