Scandal Finale Scores Big Twitter Ratings

The season finale of Scandal scored big Twitter TV ratings.

The third season finale ranked #2 on Nielsen Social's daily top five list.

3.4 million people saw 697,000 tweets revolving around Thursday night's show. These tweets were sent by 140,000 unique authors and generated 37 million impressions.

Facebook Updates Paper

Facebook's standalone news reader app, Paper has added a couple of new features in its first update.

Birthdays and events are now visible within Paper by clicking on the notifications tab in the upper right-hand corner and scrolling to the bottom.

Users can also add a photo to a comment by simply tapping the camera icon next to the comments field.

Facebook also added nine new news sources to its list of sections, including Fox News, Bloomberg News, Mashable, FT, kottke, Popular Science, The Hollywood Reporter, Vanity Fair and Hacker News.

Facebook May Launch a Mobile Ad Platform

According to a Recode report, Facebook will soon launch a mobile advertising network joining the likes of Apple and Google.

The new ad network would allow Facebook to generate revenue from in-app ads even when users are not on Facebook properties.
