PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Delaware Blue Hens are looking to build off a 7-5 2013 campaign. They actually were very much in play for the post-season before losing their final three games of the season.
They are about a week and a half into their 2014 spring workouts, and the man in charge likes what he sees so far.
“I’m really excited,” Delaware head coach Dave Brock tells KYW Newsradio. “We’ve had some really good practices. This past Saturday, we had a pretty spirited workout, bunch of tackling and some scrimmage situations. I thought the players responded really well. We’re probably a little ahead defensively right now, we’ve got a lot of younger guys on the offensive line and a lot of experience back on defense. It was good to see guys flying around and I think the players are really doing a nice job this spring.”
