Lockdown Lifted At Liberty High School in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (CBS) -- A lockdown has been lifted at a high school in Bethlehem on Wednesday.

Bethlehem Area School District officials say at about 1 p.m., Bethlehem Police responded to a 911 call reporting three males entering Liberty High School on Linden Street with guns.

The school was placed on lockdown. Police secured the building and conducted a thorough search of the school.

School officials say no intruders or persons with weapons were found at the school.

Students are safe and there were no reports of any injuries.

School officials say police will investigate the source of the 911 call which appears to be a hoax.

Liberty High School will be open on a regular schedule on Thursday.
