A Wintry Wake-Up Call

By Kathy Orr

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- In the wake of a potent cold front, gusty northwest winds will usher in unseasonably cold air!

The wind will help dry our roads, but still watch out for icy spots during the morning rush!

A Freeze Warning will continue until 9am for most of our area. Philadelphia's morning low will be around 32 degrees.

Expect lows in the 20's in many of our suburbs. Unfortunately, "that is just the half of it" as my mother would say.

The wind, blowing 15 to 20 miles-an-hour, will make it feel like the teens in the city and its suburbs!! Brrrr.

Winter coats will be required as the chill will continue through Thursday morning as well!

Highs Wednesday afternoon will rebound to 50 degrees, with sunshine, but the wind will keep a chill in the air.

Thursday will be sunny, the high, 58 degrees.

By Friday, we will see improvement with sunshine, the high, 60 degrees.

After a few showers Saturday, Easter Sunday looks dry, with partly sunny skies and highs in the 60's.

Remember, warmer days ahead,

Kathy
